OwnBudget stores all your data — accounts, transactions, budgets, goals — exclusively in your browser's local storage on your own device. We have no server that receives, stores, or processes your financial data. We cannot see your data. We cannot sell your data. There is nothing to breach.
License verification
If you subscribe to OwnBudget Pro, our license-check server receives only your license key and returns whether it is valid or expired. It never receives transaction data, account names, or any financial information of any kind.
Payments
Payments are processed by Paddle.com under their own privacy policy. We never see your credit card number or billing details.
Analytics
None. We collect no analytics, usage tracking, or telemetry.
